Water and Sewer Operations Adds New Key Positions to Better Serve Citizens

The Water/Sewer Department has added three new key positions to better serve citizens. Mr. Clifton Jackson was promoted from Water Coordinator to Water Utilities Operations Manager. His primary responsibilities will now be taking care of the daily operations at Water Utilities.

Mr. David Ware and Mr. Rayvin Johnson were also moved up from General Foremen to Lead General Foremen. Their new roles entail assisting Mr. Jackson in operations and issue investigations.

Mr. Jackson will work directly under Mike Harris, Director of Water and Sewer Operations. "Both water and sewer are essential city services. We are very excited about the opportunities these positions provide in elevating our customer service to the citizens of Beaumont," said Harris.

ABOUT BEAUMONT WATER AND SEWER SERVICES: The mission of Beaumont Water and Sewer Services is to provide uninterrupted potable water and sanitary sewer services to its customers while complying with all local, state and federal regulations. Their responsibility includes maintenance and repair of approximately 877 miles of water distribution mains, 4,800 fire hydrants, 55,000 service connections, 14,400 valves, 749 miles of sanitary sewer collection mains, 9,750 manholes, 77 lift stations, and 15 miles of canal and levee systems.
