Netzsch expands its pump portfolio with peristaltic pumps

As a specialist for positive displacement pumps, Netzsch is now supplementing the well-known progressing cavity, rotary lobe and screw pumps with peristaltic pumps.

"Thanks to the supplementary product group, we can cover even the most complex applications in a wide variety of areas. The sensible expansion of our product range with peristaltic pumps enables us to serve customer requirements over an even broader range of applications," says Robert Kurz, global sales manager at Netzsch Pumps & Systems.

This product group is given the name Peripro, which, according to the manufacturer, combines the advantages of the roller and sliding shoe principle. This should result in the following advantages, among others:• high flexibility for a wide variety of applications and media,• reduced energy requirement thanks to the large roller diameter,• long service life,• low lubricant requirement,• extremely high suction power.

The robust industrial version enables you to pump abrasive and aggressive media in a wide variety of application areas. Many of the media to be conveyed contain a high proportion of solids or have a large proportion of fibers. A special design and the high suction capacity make it possible to pump media such as sludge or ceramic slip with this hose pump without any problems.

In the chemical version, corrosive media can be pumped while maintaining high accuracy with deviations of less than one percent. The chemical version is available in selected materials. The housing is covered with a special Tefzel coating, which makes the pump particularly resistant to corrosion.

In the food version, the main focus is on easy cleaning. The new Peripro is CIP-capable, which means that cleaning can take place within the system, since the rollers can be easily removed via a flap in the cover, making it easy to clean the inside of the pump. The hose is also made of food-safe and FDA-certified nitrile.

With its innovative design, the food version enables contamination-free conveying in the food industry.

All models have large-diameter rollers, which, according to the manufacturer, reduces energy consumption "by up to a third, while at the same time increasing the service life of the hose".
